As a low-threshold, low-restriction, and easy-to-play racket sport, Pickleball has become increasingly popular in China in recent years, with participation and appeal increasing. At the 2024 CPG (China Pickleball Game) Pickleball Competition held last weekend at Wen'an Huamei Resort in Langfang City, Hebei Province, this emerging sport that combines the characteristics of tennis, table tennis and badminton proved its huge potential in the field of national fitness in China .

This CPG Pickleball Competition is divided into two categories: the Open Grand Prix and the 4.0 Group Bonus Tournament, with five events including men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles. The "dual system" reward method was also adopted for the first time. The open group uses the championship and Asian quarter points accumulation for each item, and the bonus is distributed according to the proportion of the respective scores; the 4.0 level group adopts a fixed bonus amount, so that players of different levels have the opportunity to win award. This event attracted high-level players and pickleball enthusiasts from home and abroad to actively participate. A total of 165 athletes participated in the event from 51 clubs, associations, brands, schools, educational institutions, sports companies and other groups and individuals in 29 cities. During the competition, the contestants showed their perseverance and positive attitude towards life, winning rounds of applause from the audience.

After two days of competition, in the open group competition, Liang Haotian from Macau won the men's singles championship, Hong Kong player Lin Yingxue won the women's singles; Zhuhai combination Han Hui and Chen Zining won the men's doubles championship, and Chen Zhikuan and Xie Yucheng from Shenzhen won the championship. First place in Mixed Doubles.

This event also has expo activities, including a pickleball equipment brand exhibition and a local specialty product exhibition, with a total of 27 exhibitors, providing a platform for interactive communication between contestants and tourists. There is also a pickleball night event on the evening of the game day. A series of entertainment activities allow participants and tourists to fully experience the charm of "traveling with the event" while enjoying the game.

The successful holding of the 2024CPG Pickleball Competition not only brought a visual and spiritual feast to the participants and tourists, but also injected new vitality into the development of pickleball.
